HI I’M TOM PARSONS

The picture framer and artist behind The Frame Shop Geelong.

My background is as an artist, having studied at Monash University where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts before going on to practice painting for many years. In more recent years, I’ve been heavily involved in the art supplies industry, working with some of Australia’s leading brands.

Custom picture framing has always been a big part of my practice. I love working with my hands and applying my creative background to craft the perfect frame for every unique piece that comes through the workshop. For me, great framing is about more than just presentation — it’s about protecting and elevating each artwork so it can be enjoyed for years to come.

I take care with every job, using archival techniques and carefully chosen materials to make sure the frame not only looks beautiful but also honours the artwork inside. I enjoy working closely with artists, collectors, and galleries, and as a family-owned small business, I pride myself on offering a personal, hands-on service where no two jobs are ever the same.

When I’m not in the workshop, you’ll usually find me painting or spending time with my wife and our two daughters.
